Hawaii

Here are a few of our Hawaii pictures. There are so many I had a hard time choosing just a few to sum up the trip, but I did my best.

This is Wiomea Beach. The waves are huge here. The guys were even a little nervous to get in. Kirby did try surfing...but not here!

We climbed Diamond Head. I guess you call it a mountain. There are trails and A LOT of stairs. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but I don't know if I would recommend doing it when you're 6 mos pregnant. The view from the top was DEFINITELY worth it.

This is most of our group. Staci, Hayley, Kirby, Tiffany, Kelly, Matthew. Matt, Lauren and Ariel are missing. I think Matt was taking the picture.

This is my 32 week belly picture. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. We scheduled a c-section for May 28, so we will be having a new little one in less than 2 months!

I'm Back

I'm just posting this random picture of Clae to let people know we're still alive! We've been back from Hawaii for over a month now and I feel like it has taken me that long to get back into the swing of things. I intend to post pics from our trip, there are just so many I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to post. I'll try to be better about posting because I know everyone wants to see new pics of Clae.

1st Birthday

Clae's 1st Birthday party was a lot of fun. All of his grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins were there. He had a lot of fun and was kind of on a sugar high for a while after he ate his cake. At first he wasn't sure about the cake, we kind of had to feed it to him. Then he decided he liked it and picked up the whole piece and shoveled it in! It was pretty funny to watch.

What's been going on...

Highlights and events since our last post almost 2 months ago...

1. Kirby's 32nd birthday (12/19). We had an ice storm that day so we didn't really end up doing much to celebrate.

2. Christmas. We had a lot of fun on Clae's 1st Christmas. He got very spoiled by everyone. He was somewhat interested in opening presents, but like most kids he was as interested in the boxes and the paper as he was in the gifts.

3. Clae got 4 teeth. In two weeks time he got his first 4 teeth. Needless to say this was not a fun time for baby or mom and dad. We just got him sleeping through the night again after all of that.

4. Clae got his first haircut. It was a hard decision to make but it turned out to be a good one in the long run. He looks much better. Of course I kept all of his little baby hair.

5. New Year's. We went to Kirby's cousin's (Matt & Staci) as we do every year. Clae had a lot of fun and went to bed easily at 9:00. I was just getting into bed at midnight and he decided to wake up and be up until almost 3:oo am. I was dragging the next day.

6. Ultrasound of the new baby. We did not find out the sex, but the baby was doing well, no problems. It's my intention to start posting belly pictures for this pregnancy. We'll see if I can get it together and get them posted.

7. Booked a trip to Hawaii! This trip came up all of a sudden through Kirby's cousin. I never thought I would go to Hawaii, but I guess we're going. We have to leave our baby behind with grandparents, so we are having mixed feeling but it will be an awesome experience and a much needed break.

8. Planning Clae's 1st Birthday/Superbowl party. We are having the party Feb 1st, 2 days before his actual birthday. Since he was born last year during the Superbowl we thought it would be appropriate to have his party on Superbowl Sunday with a "little quarterback" theme.

I think that covers all of the "major" events in our lives in the last couple of months. I'll try to be better about posting new pictures more often.

1st Haircut

Clae was beginning to get a bit of a mullet so we decided to go ahead and give him his first haircut. Kirby did it at home, I was a little nervous but it turned out really well.
