3 Months

Clae will be 3 months old on Saturday, I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Reflections on being a mother at 3 months...I thought I would enjoy the tiny infant stage the most but as Clae gets older I enjoy him more and more. He gets more predictable, more interactive and more fun. I've had to be a lot more flexible with my task oriented, control freak personality. Sometimes I wonder if my house will EVER be clean again, but I realize that it's much more important to play with my son than to dust or wash dishes. Kirby is a great daddy. We're so glad he's been able to be home and hasn't had to be in Branson. As the weather gets nicer he's gone a lot more, but we make the most of the time we get to spend with him. Being a mom is the hardest, most rewarding experience I've ever had or will ever have. It's amazing!

Trip to Ames

After owning his Bronco for 10 years Kirby decided it was time to sell it. It was a hard decision for him to make and it was sad for him to see it go. The person he sold it to lives in Ames so we took the opportunity to visit some friends while we were there delivering it.

We stayed with Jen and went to visit Kate and her family. We went to Cornerstone on Sunday, it was nice to be back in Ames for a little while.

Goodbye twenties, goodbye freedom, goodbye Bronco!

Little Man

Clae will be 10 weeks old tomorrow. We're having so much fun with him as he gets older. He's a lot more solid now and doesn't seem so fragile. He's sleeping more hours at night which makes for a more rested mom! He weighed 12 lbs 9 oz at his last appointment and was 24 3/4 inches long. To quote the doctor "that's big!"

We took Clae for his first walk in the stroller. The weather hasn't been very nice here yet so we haven't been able to take him on many walks. This day it was about 50 degrees out. We didn't want him to get cold so we put him in his little brown bear outfit. He was toasty warm! We laugh every time we look at this picture.

He wore the shirt Aunt Sissy got him to church. We think he looks like a little man when he wears it.

He's a happy boy after his bath.
